Can I use _____ ammunition in my Cimarron Firearm?

We recommend that you shoot only standard over the counter ammunition that meet SAMMI specifications, http://www.saami.org/.

Shooting any ammo like +P or reloads will void the warranty on the gun.

Cimarron Firearms does not have any plans to make any guns that shoot +P ammunition.

Do not shoot magnum rounds with the 1878 Coach Gun.

Do not shoot wadcutters in lever action rifles.

What makes Cimarron Firearms different as an importer?

Cimarron Firearms worked closely with Uberti in the 80s to completely change the look and feel of the replica firearms you see offered by many companies today.  For more information on this, visit our page Why Cimarron is the Best Buy.

Is there a minimum order?

No, we do not require a minimum to order directly from us.

Do I have to put money down to put something on backorder?

With the exception of customized guns, your firearms dealer can place something on backorder with no money down.  Keeping up with demand is one of the biggest challenges Cimarron faces.  The factories we work with simply cannot keep up with the demand for our firearms.  If you (the customer) are interested in something, have your local dealer call us or send us an email, and we will get you placed in the queue for that item.  When the gun comes in, we’ll call your dealer to see if you still want it.

How long will it take to get my gun once I order it?

This varies a lot per model, depending on the supply and demand of it.  Most items are delivered in 30 days to 6 months, depending on how many dealer orders are on file and how many firearms are on order from the factories. Special orders and customized guns can take longer.

Why is it taking so long to get my gun?

Cimarron spends a great deal of time working with the factories it partners with to try to keep up with the demand of our guns.  Unfortunately, this is not always possible.  Due to the craftsmanship and production demands placed on the factories, production schedules and, thusly, deliverables on what we have ordered, can oftentimes get delayed.

What is Cimarron Firearms’ warranty?

Cimarron means quality and we stand behind our product.  Please visit our Return/Repair Policy page for more info.

I sent my gun in for repair- how long do I have to wait?

Please allow a minimum of 60 days for repairs.  Our gunsmith will contact you as soon as it is ready.

Do you ship guns outside of the U.S.A.?

Unfortunately, Cimarron does not ship outside of the United States.  None of our distributers are set up to do this, either.  We can, however, ship parts, leather, and display boxes to Canada through these distributers:

Are your guns legal in my state?

As you know, it can be difficult to keep up with gun laws in every state.  It is best to ask your local FFL dealer, who should be an expert in this area.  Use our dealer locator to find one.

Can you look up the history of my gun?

At this time we do not offer the service of looking up the history of your gun.

I have an idea for a gun for you to make- can I submit it?

You are welcome to submit ideas- but we have a substantial list of items in development and are unable to respond and give feedback to ideas.

I have a complaint and I am furiouos!

We are sorry you are upset- but sending a message though facebook, the feedback button on our website, or via email is often not the best place to do this or quickest way to get a response.  Please give us a call at 1877-SIXGUN1 and we'll hear you out.
